Driven by the vision that everyone deserves a safe and decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia.

In 1994, Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone Region became one of 46 local Habitat organizations in Canada and part of Habitat for Humanity International, working in more than 70 countries.

Habitat homeowners help build their homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering, or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help further the Habitat cause.
