Potential
Habitat for Humanity families are low-income families living
in inadequate housing, which necessitates a move, and are willing
to put in 500 hours of "sweat equity". The
three criteria to qualify for a Habitat home are need
for affordable housing, ability
to repay a Habitat mortgage and willingness
to partner with Habitat.
These homes are not free,
but made affordable through
no-interest mortgages, which are repaid by the homeowner.
