March Break Fun
The sound of hammers could be heard throughout the ReStore on
Wednesday March 15, 2006. Habitat for Humanity’s 2nd annual Bird
House Build was a great success. Each child was given the
opportunity to choose a Bird House, Tool Box or Planter box kit to
build. Some of the children that built last year chose to build a
different project to add to their collection. ReStore volunteers
were there to lend a helping hand, and to help inspire the
creativity.
Many familiar and new faces were seen swinging hammers this year.
Once the projects were complete, some of the children jumped right
in and had a great time painting, while others took their time and
let the creative juices flow before making a decision on what colour
and pattern to choose. All who were involved had a wonderful time
and are looking forward to next year’s event.
