Queen's Advancement Enhancement

Fit for Life Day: The Amazing Race

Habitat Kingston was invited to participate in the Queen’s U. Office of Advancement annual ‘Advancement Enhancement’ team building day for their 120 department members. The theme for 2007 was Fit for Life

The Habitat ReStore brought along the NEW mobile can-crushing station and set up as one of the five race stations. Teams crushed cans as quickly and elegantly as possible. Admission for the day’s events was 10 aluminum cans per person. Habitat Kingston was selected as the charity of the day and benefited from the generosity of the Advancement group. Funds raised from the day’s raffle ticket draw will help to pay for the closet doors of Build 2007 which will be hung during the September Build week.

Thanks to Queen’s Office of Advancement for showing style, humour and commitment in our goal of collecting 1 million aluminum cans by April 1st 2008! Thanks for helping to build homes and build hope!
